Job Overview
  • This full-time English position offers a competitive salary aligned with the Main Pay Scale (MPS) or Upper Pay Scale (UPS), which is approximately £35,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in English or a related field, Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), and demonstrated experience teaching English at the secondary level. A passion for English and its real-world applications, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adaptability, and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment are also highly valued.

About the Role:

Design and deliver engaging and rigorous English lessons aligned with the national curriculum and the school's educational goals across Key Stages 3 and 4. Create a stimulating classroom atmosphere that promotes student curiosity, problem-solving, and collaboration. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to facilitate individual growth. Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the English department and across the school to enhance the learning experience. Stay abreast of current pedagogical approaches and developments in the field of English.
