Job Title: Childcare Development Officer

Glasgow City Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Childcare Development Officer to join our team at Hazelwood School, a school for pupils with complex learning needs.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality early learning and childcare, promoting the development of independence, competence, and confidence in our youngest learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver stimulating learning experiences in line with Curriculum for Excellence and national practice guidance.
  • Support the learning and development of our youngest learners through the delivery of high-quality childcare services.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to early learning and childcare.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to early learning and childcare.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a relevant qualification such as the HNC Childhood Practice at SCQF Level 7, SVQ Social Services Children and Young People at SCQF Level 7, National Nursery Examination Board certificate (NNEB), or equivalent, as required by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) for registration as a practitioner in the day care of children's services.
