Job Title: Regional Security Operations Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Regional Security Manager to join our team in DPD Group UK. As a key member of our security department, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of security across multiple depots.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Implement and enforce company security policies and strategies across the region.
  • Provide guidance and support on depot-specific security matters, including physical, operational, and administrative security.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive security action plan aligned with regional objectives.
  • Conduct regular security audits and follow-up reviews, ensuring compliance with agreed schedules.
  • Investigate incidents and create detailed reports as required.
  • Review and analyze incident reports from the security team to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards, best practices, and new technologies, sharing knowledge with the security team.
  • Liaise with external agencies, such as police and customs, to support overall security investigations.
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in collaboration with the General Manager, South East.
  • Identify and address theft issues or trends within the hubs.
  • Deliver effective security solutions and preventative measures.
  • Manage manpower planning, including rota management, holiday allocation, absence tracking, recruitment, and interviewing.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience as a Security Manager in a large-scale, multi-layered organization.
  • Demonstrable leadership and inspirational skills, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional results.
  • Confident communication and presentation skills, with the ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
  • Decision-making skills, with the ability to take ownership of the department in a time-pressured environment.
  • Negotiation skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize workload.
  • Flexible and proactive approach to work, with a strong problem-solving mindset and high levels of resilience and self-motivation.

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Location: Multiple depots across the South East.
