Job Summary:

Pertemps is seeking an experienced and passionate Social Work Independent Reviewing Officer to join our team. As an Independent Reviewing Officer, you will chair Initial and Review Child Protection Conferences, Children Looked After reviews, and Foster Carer Annual Reviews. You will ensure that all these conferences and reviews are conducted within statutory time limits and conform to statutory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use your professional knowledge and experience to make assessments and decisions about the most appropriate interventions.
  • Apply your significant Social Work experience and excellent communication skills to establish and maintain relationships with service users and other agencies.
  • Support the delivery of person-centred, safe, and effective social care services, working in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements.
  • Make full assessments of risks, protection, and social care needs, and devise individual care plans, taking account of diversity and promoting dignity and empowerment.
  • Offer advice and support to unqualified staff and students to assist development.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.

  • Knowledgeable of Child Protection legislation and understanding of child protection issues.
  • Constantly striving for continuous improvement to provide the best outcomes for children.
