About the Role
As an Affordable Housing Aftercare Manager, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth transition of new homes to customers in the Midlands and North England region. This role requires strong collaboration skills to work with the delivery team, Employers Agents, Defects Suppliers, and colleagues to rectify defects efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure timely defect resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively address aftercare queries, updating systems to record issues correctly.
  • Oversee activities of Defect Suppliers and contractors to meet service level agreements.
  • Support Head of Aftercare in reviewing KPIs, tracking actions for closure.
  • Raise purchase orders for verified deployment of external contractors, recording associated costs.
  • Lead authorisation of works, invoicing process, managing expenditure and budgets.
  • Attend End of Defect or Post Practical Completion inspections, building relationships with developers' aftercare teams.

Requirements and Qualifications
We are seeking a professional with a strong academic background in construction/maintenance and relevant qualifications such as CIH professional certification. A valid driver's license is also essential. Experience in repairs/maintenance or customer-facing roles within the housing/construction industry is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong problem-solving abilities and resilience, are highly valued.
