Fluid Systems Design Manager

Role Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer to join our fluid systems team at BAE Systems. As a Principal Engineer - Fluid Systems, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of critical systems for next-generation Nuclear Submarines. Your expertise in fluid systems design and management will be instrumental in driving success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop functional engineering solutions that meet complex cross-functional interactions and requirements.
- Build relationships with suppliers to develop equipment and component specifications meeting challenging product demands.
- Work closely with customers to develop requirements and acceptance criteria based on operational scenarios, use cases, and design considerations.
- Analyse and interpret engineering data to inform design decisions and demonstrate system performance.
- Develop and present design evidence packages to justify safe and effective designs.
- Manage stakeholders and facilitate collaboration to drive project success.
Requirements
- Educated to Degree level in Engineering, Mechanical or Science subjects.
- Chartered Engineer status within a recognised institution.
- Proven experience in fluid systems design and management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Compensation and Benefits
- Circa £52,000 salary, dependent on experience.
