Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a well-known secondary school in Abergavenny. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with additional learning needs, promoting inclusivity, and enhancing student progress.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the class teacher in planning, delivering, and evaluating lessons, ensuring strategies are tailored to individual student needs.
- Provide support to students with additional learning needs, both in groups and on a one-to-one basis, promoting inclusivity within the classroom.
- Prepare and deliver intervention sessions, tailored towards addressing specific learning gaps or targeting accelerated progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support the implementation of effective teaching strategies and behaviour management techniques.
- Assist with the coordination and administration of assessments, ensuring accurate recording and reporting of student progress.
- Teaching Assistant Level 2 or Higher.
- Proven experience in supporting teaching and learning at primary or secondary level.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A proactive approach to promoting inclusive education and addressing the needs of diverse learners.
