About the RoleWe are looking for a seasoned financial professional to lead our accounting and reporting functions. As a Financial Sector Account Manager, you will be responsible for safeguarding and preparing our financial statements, managing our general ledger and subledgers, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Safeguard and prepare our financial statements, reflecting the true picture of our company performance, in accordance with our Financial Shared Services (FSS) / Centre of Excellence (CoE) activities and timetable.
- Accurately and timely deliver our monthly management accounts and other cycle outcomes, fully meeting our group requirements.
- Manage and monitor our general ledger and all subledgers, including accounts receivables, accounts payable, accruals, provisions, inventory, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions, according to local legal needs.
- Manage our structural costs (overheads) and ensure no gaps in recognition of appropriate and recurring costs, including provisions and prepayments.
- Ensure we have a robust balance sheet, making risks and opportunities known in a formalized and timely manner.
- Prepare and analyze our various financial statements (P&L and Balance Sheet) and information from reporting to our group and local stakeholders as required.
- Passionate about leadership, influencing, and establishing enterprise value that finance can contribute within an organization.
- Significant interaction with key stakeholders across the business, so strong and clear communication (verbal and written) is a must.
- The ability to manage multi-functional teams in multiple locations effectively.
- Strong administrative and financial background.
- Prior experience of treasury, tax, and payroll.
- Financial controlling and financial management experience.
- Proven track record of managing multiple objectives, multi-site teams, and a matrix organization.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across the organization.
- Proven track record of delivering process improvements projects and delivering savings.
- Leading on internal audit requirements and supporting statutory audit needs.
- At least 7 years senior finance experience and finance professional qualification such as CIMA or ACCA.
- Proficient use of Excel. SAP experience and Power BI will be highly regarded.
