Job Title: Senior Lawyer

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Lawyer to join our Children's Legal Team at Torbay Council. As a Senior Lawyer, you will play a key role in providing legal advice and representation to our clients across a range of children's public law and private law matters.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work for an employer that sees legal services as a key enabler in the pursuit of the highest standards and outcomes for children. You will be responsible for carrying a wide and varied caseload, including complex matters, and providing support for more junior members of the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and representation to clients across children's public law and private law matters
  • Carry a wide and varied caseload, including complex matters
  • Support more junior members of the team
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to achieve the best outcomes for children
Requirements
  • Admitted and practising solicitor, legal executive (fellow) or barrister with up to 3 years PQE
  • Suitably trained as a legal advisor or advocate
  • Experience of working in a legal environment
