We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Lawyer to join our Legal Services Team at Torbay Council. As a Senior Lawyer, you will provide specialist legal advice, representation, and assistance to the Council in all commercial, contract, and procurement matters.
About the RoleThis is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of knowledge of the law and procedure within the specialist area. You will work closely with the Council's senior management team to provide strategic legal advice and support on major projects and infrastructure schemes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist legal advice and representation to the Council in all commercial, contract, and procurement matters.

- Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and other external partners.
- Contribute to the development of the Council's legal strategy and policy.
- Admitted and practising solicitor, legal executive (fellow) or barrister with up to 3 years PQE.
- High level of knowledge of the law and procedure within the specialist area.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
