Shift Maintenance Engineer

Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for a challenging role with a reputable company? ARC (Norwich) Limited is seeking a Shift Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Saxmundham, Suffolk.

This permanent position offers the chance to work on production shifts, supporting the implementation of new equipment and processes while ensuring uninterrupted production 24 hours a day.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and resolve engineering maintenance and process issues that arise during shifts, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
  • Support the implementation of new equipment and processes, collaborating closely with the production team to ensure seamless integration.
  • Ensure the company's ability to produce products continuously by proactively monitoring and maintaining machinery and equipment.
  • Provide feedback to the production management team regarding issues encountered during shifts and suggest improvements for enhanced efficiency.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and promote a culture of safety throughout all maintenance activities.
Requirements:
  • Formal apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications in electrical, mechanical, and/or maintenance engineering.
  • Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical problems quickly and independently, based on analysis and factual evidence.
  • Computer literate, competent with Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with computer maintenance management systems, such as Pirana used at our site.
