We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Pharmacy Professional to join our team at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust.

Main Duties of the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering teaching on prescribing for medical students at the University of Southampton. This will involve teaching medical students across the undergraduate programme, developing new teaching material on specific clinical areas, and being actively involved in the marking of exam papers throughout the academic year.

The ideal candidate will have a proven record of teaching, with experience delivering to large groups, and will be able to demonstrate Advanced Stage 1 competencies in the RPS Advanced Pharmacy Framework in relation to medical or surgical patients.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
  • Masters Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent.
  • Registered with General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy or equivalent experience.
  • Sound knowledge of clinical pharmacy services acquired while working within a suitable specialty.
  • Teaching and tutoring experience.
  • Development and implementation of guidelines and procedures.
  • MSc in clinical pharmacy or equivalent experience.
  • Can demonstrate Advanced Stage 2 or Mastery competencies in the RPS Advanced Pharmacy Framework in relation to medical or surgical patients.
  • Training in medicines information.

Salary: £53,755 to £60,504 a year (Pro Rata)
