About the Role

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is currently recruiting for a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to work with a pupil in a 1:1 setting. As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide personalised support to the student, assisting them with their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare the classroom for lessons and maintain a safe and clean environment
  • Assist Teachers in preparing lesson materials and school equipment
  • Record and report children's progress to the Teacher
  • Help children stay focused during class hours
  • Supervise group activities, sports events, and school outings
  • Help Teachers manage student behaviour
  • Support Teachers in improving the core skills of children with Special Educational Needs
  • Provide care and support to children who are unwell or upset
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with children and Teachers. You should be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
