Job Title: Financial Investigator

Join the Financial Conduct Authority as a Financial Investigator and play a crucial role in enforcing market oversight and combating financial crime.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Investigator to join our Proceeds of Crime Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for analyzing and presenting financial data to trace and show the extent and whereabouts of criminal benefit and realizable property.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and present financial data to support investigations under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002
  • Work with the team to deliver effective investigations and projects
  • Support the development of investigative strategies and reporting to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and other partners to share intelligence and best practices
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Current accreditation as a Financial Investigator and Confiscator by the Proceeds of Crime Centre (NCA) with Part 2 and Part 8 powers
  • Experience of NIM level 3 investigations involving proceeds of crime and criminal cases
  • Sound knowledge of Serious Crime Act 2015 and Criminal Finances Act 2017
  • Experience in using mainstream financial intelligence tools and Altia software
