About the Role

Eve Hill Medical Practice is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Salaried General Practitioner to join our team. As a Salaried GP, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working closely with our experienced and approachable team to deliver excellent service and care to our registered list of patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations and emergencies, telephone consultations and queries, on-call, triaging, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with clinical queries, patient test results, patient medical reports and examinations on behalf of the Practice.
  • Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers within the organisation.
  • Supervise and support non-medical practitioners, trainee doctors and medical students.
  • Comply with the requirements of the Practice's General Medical Services (GMS) contract, Enhanced Services contracts, educational/training delivery contracts and private contracts.
  • Adhere to the principles of the GMC's Good Medical Practice.

Person Specification

  • Registered with the GMC.
  • On the GP performers list.
  • MB ChB MRCGP or equivalent.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • EMIS web trained.
  • Experience of managing complex cases.

  • Proven commitment to a high standard of direct delivery of clinical care.
  • Proven clinical and communication skills.
  • Ability to act as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent record keeping skills.
  • Ability to gauge the hidden agenda in consultations.

  • Ability to identify clinical risk and take appropriate action.
  • Ability to organise self and others, to manage conflict and to address problems as they arise.

  • Have an excellent attendance record and time keeping skills.
