About the Role

Thought Machine is a pioneering fintech company on a mission to revolutionize the banking industry. We're seeking an exceptional Engineering Manager to lead our technical projects and drive innovation. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll be responsible for managing complex projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to our product strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical projects to deliver on our product roadmap, ensuring timely and high-quality results.
  • Manage a team of talented engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to help them grow and develop.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Client Services to define and deliver our product roadmap.
  • Participate in technical discussions and design reviews, driving technical decisions and ensuring alignment with our product strategy.
  • Measure team impact, contributing to product strategy, and participating in engineering-wide initiatives.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in engineering management of product-aligned teams.
  • Experience working in cloud-native environments, using modern technology stacks similar to ours (microservices, Kubernetes, Kafka, AWS/GCP, golang/python).
  • Technical background to drive technical decisions and excellent interpersonal skills to drive communication with Product Managers and Client representatives.
  • Comfortable wearing different hats to suit the changing needs of a team as it evolves.
