Manufacturing Engineer

Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking a skilled Agile Engineer to join a growing OEM client. This multifaceted engineering role offers an excellent opportunity for an engineering apprentice looking to transition into a production management and NPI-related role.
Key Responsibilities:- Manipulate designs using SolidWorks to meet project specifications.
- Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) for projects.
- Serve as a liaison between the Design and Manufacturing Departments.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of project materials and components.
- Kit project parts and handle procurement of necessary materials.
- Collaborate with the Project Management team to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- An engineering apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working in an engineering environment, preferably in Machine Shop, Toolroom, or Assembly.
- Strong understanding of technical principles and project management fundamentals.
- Experience in providing quotations, estimates, or procurement.
- Proficiency in business management systems including databases, ERP, and spreadsheets (Microsoft and Google systems).
- Demonstrated ability to develop key customer relationships and operate in a commercial environment.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Self-motivated with a proactive and creative approach to problem-solving.
