About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join our team at Public Practice Recruitment Ltd. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of accounts for small business clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Support the preparation of VAT returns, management accounts, and bookkeeping tasks
  • Liaise with clients to gather information, resolve queries, and provide guidance on financial matters
  • Work alongside senior accountants on audits and tax planning projects
  • Contribute to the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns

Requirements
  • AAT level 3 or 4 qualified, with practical experience in an accountancy firm
  • Currently studying or looking to study towards ACA, with study support available
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong client relationships
  • A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop within the role
