Senior Accountant Opportunity

AJ Chambers is partnering with a reputable firm in Leigh-on-Sea to find a talented Senior Accountant to join their growing team.

This role has become available due to recent expansion and the winning of new business, highlighting the ample progression opportunities available.

This is a great opportunity to join a firm renowned for their social and friendly culture in a role that can offer hands-on client exposure and increased client-facing contact to a wide range of interesting clients and projects.

The Role:

In this role, you will review accounts prepared by junior colleagues, providing support and guidance to help them grow. You will also have direct communication with clients, answering queries, gathering information for account preparation, and helping with management accounts for larger clients.

You will train clients on new accounting software and advise them on maintaining proper records. If interested, audit work is an option. Additionally, you will prepare corporate tax returns and coordinate with the tax department and HMRC to ensure compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and prepare accounts for clients
  • Provide support and guidance to junior colleagues
  • Communicate with clients and gather information for account preparation
  • Help with management accounts for larger clients
  • Train clients on new accounting software
  • Advise clients on maintaining proper records
  • Prepare corporate tax returns
