About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Semi Senior Accountant to join our team at Public Practice Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our Small Business team, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of accounts for small business clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of accounts, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements
  • Support the preparation of VAT returns, management accounts, and bookkeeping tasks
  • Liaise with clients to gather information, resolve queries, and provide guidance on financial matters
  • Work alongside senior accountants on audits and tax planning projects
  • Contribute to the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns

What We Offer

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • AAT level 3 or 4 qualification, with practical experience in an accountancy firm
  • Currently studying or looking to study towards ACA, with study support available
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong client relationships
  • A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop within the role
