About the Role

Orri is seeking a highly skilled Eating Disorders Psychiatrist to join our team. As a key member of our clinical management group, you will play a vital role in delivering expert psychiatric care and medical risk management to our clients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide weekly caseload consultation to clients via telephone, video, or in-person sessions.
  • Lead the psychiatric management of a caseload of complex clients, including medication management, self-harm and suicide risk management, and supportive therapy.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of systems for psychiatric and medical risk management for the service as a whole.
  • Monitor and work with the RMN to ensure the physical risk management of clients.
  • Participate in the intake and assessment of new referrals, including those with co-occurring presentations.
  • Contribute to clinical audit, incident reporting, and analysis to ensure resulting actions are implemented.
  • Support Orri's commitment to training and development through contribution to our Modular training programme and participation in webinars.
  • Work alongside the R&D team to support research initiatives contributing to Orri's commitment to further knowledge and awareness of eating disorders.

Requirements

  • Be a fully qualified psychiatrist and be MRCPsych accredited.
  • Experience delivering individual and group therapies.
  • Experience working with clients who have had an eating disorder.
  • Maintaining a professional portfolio for CPD recording learning outcomes through participation in internal and external development opportunities.
  • The ability to critically evaluate current research and apply to practice.
  • Reviews and reflects on own practice and performance through effective use of professional and operational supervision and appraisal.
  • Highly developed communication and negotiation skills.
