About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a clinical or counselling psychologist to join our busy community CAMHS Eating Disorders team. As a specialist in eating disorders, you will be working with children and young people who require assessment and therapy using Family Therapy for Eating Disorders and CBT for Eating Disorders principles. Our team is multidisciplinary, and we work closely with partner agencies to provide comprehensive care. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in Family Therapy for Eating Disorders and CBT for Eating Disorders, and we offer training in these models. We are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for our staff, and we welcome applications from psychologists with experience in eating disorders or child and adolescent mental health.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing Family Therapy for Eating Disorders and CBT for Eating Disorders to children and young people with eating disorders as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Providing psychological therapy focused on common psychological maintaining factors for eating disorders, such as anxiety, mood problems, perfectionism, poor self-esteem, and emotion regulation difficulties.
- Providing consultation and supervision to the team as appropriate.
