About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Supportive Education Assistant to join our team at New Directions Holding. As a Supportive Education Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Autism (ASD) and Complex Learning Difficulties (CLD) to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with diverse needs, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create and implement personalized learning plans, ensuring students receive the necessary support to succeed.
  • Assist students with daily living skills, such as personal care, mealtime, and mobility, promoting independence and self-confidence.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting students with complex needs.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with children or adults with additional needs, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A positive and ambitious attitude to learning, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, prioritizing student needs and well-being.
