Special Needs Teaching Assistant

An estimated salary for this position is between £18,000 and £22,000 per annum, depending on experience.
GSL Education is recruiting Autism Specialist Teaching Assistants to work in mainstream primary schools. These professionals will be working with students who have been identified as having moderate learning difficulties and autism on a 1:1 and small group basis.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the oral and written evaluation, recording, and reporting of children's development, progress, and accomplishments.
- Attend school meetings relevant to the child, as requested by management and fellow teachers.
- Implement behavioral intervention programs for students with special needs, developmental delays, or autism that are 1:1 in nature.
- Collaborate with experts as needed to support the child.
- An Enhanced DBS Certificate is required; alternatively, applicants must be willing to complete one.
- A passion for assisting young people with special needs is essential.
- A valid work visa for the UK is necessary.
- Exceptional SEN expertise, preferably with a variety of additional needs such as SEMH and severe learning challenges.
