Senior Electrical Systems Engineer

Our client, a leader in the renewable and industrial sectors, is seeking a talented Senior Electrical Systems Engineer specialising in high voltage to join their dynamic team.

Job Summary:
As a Senior Electrical Systems Engineer focusing on high voltage, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-voltage electrical systems. You will work on a variety of projects, including power generation, transmission, and distribution, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop high-voltage electrical systems and components, including power generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
  • Conduct detailed electrical design analysis, including load flow, short circuit, and protection coordination studies.
  • Perform system modelling, simulation, and analysis using specialised software tools.
  • Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company quality guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, software, and project management, to ensure seamless integration of high-voltage systems.
  • Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of high-voltage systems.
  • Stay current with advancements in high-voltage technology and industry trends.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software such as ETAP, PSCAD, or similar tools.
  • Experience with high voltage testing and diagnostic equipment.
  • Project management skills and experience in leading technical projects.
