MacGregor Black are seeking a skilled Area Sales Manager to cover the Midlands region, partnering with a leading global DIY brand.

This challenging role will involve developing the business sales area in line with company goals and targets. You will be responsible for managing all activity within the designated territory, achieving KPIs, and setting SMART business objectives on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all activity within the territory, developing the paint, woodcare, sundries, and speciality product groups within each designated account.
  • Achieve KPIs set within the business requirements.
  • Set and use SMART business objectives on a daily basis.
  • Achieve set budgets and retain margins.
  • Develop the area turnover in line with company expectations.
  • Recognise and open new business opportunities within major accounts.
  • Negotiate and discuss business plans within the territory with the customer base.
  • Report back to the company any findings as requested or required.
  • Analyse account data regularly, review, and present to the accounts and business.
  • Make local account presentations to the customers.
  • Report all activity via the CRM system.
  • Attend trade/exhibition shows as required.
  • Manage and control all brand POS onto the territory.
  • Sell through new company products and promotions.
  • Manage and control all business deadlines.
  • Represent the company and yourself professionally.
  • Communicate with the trade end-users.

Requirements:

  • Experience of selling FMCG or consumer durables or DIY products.
  • Work equally well autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Be a highly motivated self-starter.
  • Be capable of making decisions independently within the company guidelines.
  • To be able to manage and prioritise.
  • The ability to work on own initiative, be a team player, be analytical/numerical.
  • Attention to detail with communication and data.
