Job Summary

The Senior Support Worker role in the Neurodevelopmental Team is a new opportunity to support the team in conducting Autism and ADHD assessments. Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the neurodevelopmental assessment of children and young people, ensuring all records are kept up to date and confidential, and attending and contributing to team meetings to support the development of the team.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing all information provided by families, including reports on a child's difficulties and strengths, and using this information to start formulating a report with clinician support. They will also have the opportunity to attend assessments and contribute to the development of the team.

Person Specification

Knowledge

Essential

  • Knowledge of child development and neurodevelopmental presentation in children

Desirable

  • Ability to identify relevant information with guidance and apply this to pre-assessment
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team

Qualifications

Essential

  • Good standard of written English GCSE English or equivalent

Desirable

  • Training in Counselling/Psychology or qualification related to Mental Health issues
  • Training in child development with an understanding of neurodiversity

Experience

Essential

  • Maintain patient records both written and electronic
  • Ability to effectively write reports
