About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Payroll Officer to join our team in Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality payroll services to our NHS clients.

The successful candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure. Experience of working in a large-scale Payroll environment, using systems like ESR Oracle, is highly desirable.

We are a collaborative team, committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences. As a Payroll Officer, you will be an integral part of this effort, ensuring timely and accurate payments to NHS staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in the National ESR Payroll system
  • Calculating and processing payroll information, adhering to legislative requirements
  • Collaborating with colleagues to resolve issues and improve processes
  • Communicating effectively with stakeholders, including NHS employees and management teams
  • Participating in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Excellent understanding of NHS Payroll procedures, including tax and benefits administration
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
