About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Staff Nurse to join our Renal Unit at St George's Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients with kidney failure, working closely with our experienced renal nurses, clinical nurse specialists, and multi-professional team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing excellent nursing care to renal patients, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care according to individual needs.
  • Working effectively with the ward team to prioritize workload and patient care needs.
  • Developing skills and competencies to take charge and actively participate in the management of the ward or department.

Person Specification

  • Registered Nurse (general) qualification.
  • A minimum of 12 months post-registration experience (desirable).
  • Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care according to individual needs.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize workload and patient care needs.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of clinical risk.
  • Computer literate (desirable).
  • Ability to take charge of the ward in the absence of the Ward Manager (desirable).
