Job Title: Associate Lecturer A

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Associate Lecturer A to join our team at Birkbeck University of London. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, administration, and assessment of the Level 5 Psychological and Developmental Issues in Childhood module from the BA Psychology for Education programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and assess students on the Level 5 Psychological and Developmental Issues in Childhood module.
  • Develop and implement teaching materials and resources for the module.
  • Assess student coursework and provide feedback.
  • Contribute to the development of the BA Psychology for Education programme.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Psychology or a related field.
  • Experience of teaching and assessing students at undergraduate level.
  • Good understanding of childhood experience and mental health.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate degree in a relevant area.
  • Professional experience in Educational/Developmental/Clinical Psychology and/or working with children in a mental health context.
  • Teaching qualification.

Working Arrangements:

This is a part-time position, with classes scheduled for Monday evenings. The successful candidate will be required to work independently and as part of a team to deliver the module.
