Residential Security Officer

About the Role
As a Residential Security Officer with OCS UK & Ireland, you will be part of a team providing assistance and support to residents at a National Probation Service Approved Premises (AP). Your role will involve maintaining an active presence throughout your shift, ensuring the safety and security of offenders, residents, visitors, colleagues, and the premises.
You will work on a 4 on 4 off rota basis, between 20:00 to 08:00, 37.5 hours per week. Your responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking regular inspections and patrols of the building
- Monitoring the behaviour of high-risk residents
- Ensuring the building is locked and secure during curfew periods, and confirming the presence and wellbeing of residents overnight
- Supporting a safe working environment for staff, residents, and visitors by adhering to Health and Safety legislation, policies, and procedures
- Dealing with visitors and telephone calls, and monitoring the work of visiting contractors
- Responding appropriately to abusive or aggressive behaviour
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- SIA Security Guarding Licence
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
