At Uber Boat by Thames Clippers, we are committed to providing our customers with a unique and exceptional River Bus experience.

To achieve this goal, we need a highly skilled River Bus Hospitality Lead to oversee the catering services and ensure that our customers receive the highest level of service.

The successful candidate will have previous experience within a Customer/Food Service or Retail environment and be committed to providing excellent customer service.

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 per annum, plus benefits such as internal development opportunities and a commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure each OCSA has the correct tools to carry out their duties safely, effectively, and in compliance with all relevant processes and food safety/alcohol licensing laws.
  2. Maintain an audit log of all equipment, absence and lateness, holiday, staff performance, uniform, and food/hygiene standards.
  3. Assist the Catering Manager with all aspects of performance management.
  4. Provide a 'world class' standard of customer service at all times.
  5. Deputise in the absence of managers and fulfil OCSA shifts as required.
  6. Support a team of OCSA in serving food and beverages to customers following prescribed methods of portioning, presentation, and combinations in line with brand standards.
  7. Follow food hygiene/safety procedures in line with health and safety requirements.
  8. Greet all customers on board with a friendly welcome and explore their requirements for food and drink.
  9. Oversee that the cleaning programme is followed and that all vessels are kept to a high standard of cleanliness at all times during service.
  10. Take appropriate action to remedy any feedback, complaints, suggestions, stock requirements, breakages, faults, or hazards identified during the course of work.
  11. Previous, relevant working experience within a Customer/Food Service or Retail environment.
  12. Be committed and flexible in your approach to work and able to work under pressure, multi-task, and prioritise work.
  13. Food hygiene certificate – Level 2.
