Job Summary

As a Lymphoedema Registered Nurse at St Luke's Hospice, you will have the chance to work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care to patients with lymphoedema.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients with lymphoedema and develop personalized care plans that cater to their unique needs.
  • Provide expert lymphoedema treatment, including manual lymphatic drainage, multi-layer bandaging, and skin care, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with patients and their families to educate them on lymphoedema management and self-care techniques, empowering them to take an active role in their care.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary to ensure the highest level of care.
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care, promoting a seamless and effective treatment experience.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to all clinical guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Engage in ongoing research and professional development to stay current with advancements in lymphoedema treatment, ensuring the delivery of evidence-based care.
  • Provide support and training to healthcare colleagues and volunteers on lymphoedema management, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
About You

We are seeking a compassionate and empathetic Registered Nurse with a strong clinical assessment and care planning background. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

Essential qualifications include current NMC registration and a commitment to ongoing professional development. Desirable qualifications include experience working in a hospice or similar healthcare environment, additional qualifications or training in palliative care, and specialist qualifications in lymphoedema management.
