Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Analyst Lead to join our team at IQVIA. As a key member of our data analytics team, you will be responsible for leading and supervising a team of data analysts, providing information reporting and dashboards to internal and external stakeholders, and working closely with IT Operations to improve team processes and technology usage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage the day-to-day work of the data analyst team, prioritizing tasks and providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Maintain and improve the team's understanding of major areas of analysis and statistics, including tools such as MySQL, Tableau, Excel, and VBA.
  • Work with the IT Operations Manager to improve team processes, push new technologies, and enhance database usage.
  • Develop and maintain key reporting streams used internally and externally, ensuring clinical soundness and highlighting patient care delivered by our clinical pharmacists.
  • Assist in identifying and fixing issues or flaws in reporting and IT systems, ensuring adherence to information governance guidelines and data protection laws.
  • Encourage improved data quality by highlighting areas of concern, liaising with clinical and administrative teams, and alerting managers to possible training needs.
  • Support the provision of training and support to managers and clinicians in the use of information systems and business intelligence tools.
  • Ensure projects are completed within given timelines, taking ownership of the process and project management.
Requirements
  • Good experience with relational database systems (preferably MySQL).
  • Good experience with interactive dashboard software (preferably Tableau).
  • Good experience with spreadsheet software tools (such as Excel and VBA).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to project manage and prioritize.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Keen to work in a team and collaborate.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience leading a team of data analysts.
  • Experience providing customer support and administration for web applications.
  • Experience with advanced database functions.
  • Knowledge or experience of the healthcare industry (preferably long-term conditions).
  • Knowledge or experience of working closely with upper management and business processes.
