About the Role

This is a senior leadership position within our Data Analytics team at IQVIA. As a Lead Data Analyst, you will be responsible for leading, supervising, and supporting a team of data analysts in delivering high-quality data insights to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the day-to-day work of the data analyst team, ensuring timely delivery of projects and high-quality results.
  • Maintain and improve the team's understanding of advanced data analysis and statistics, including tools such as MySQL, Tableau, Excel, and VBA.
  • Collaborate with the IT Operations Manager to improve team processes, implement new technologies, and optimize database usage.
  • Develop and maintain key reporting streams used by both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to create and maintain a suite of reports that provide clinically sound insights into patient care delivered by our clinical pharmacists.
  • Identify and resolve issues or flaws in reporting and IT systems, ensuring compliance with information governance guidelines and data protection laws.
  • Encourage data quality improvement by highlighting areas of concern and collaborating with clinical and administrative teams to resolve data quality issues.
  • Provide training and support to managers and clinicians on the use of information systems and business intelligence tools.
  • Manage projects to ensure timely completion, taking ownership of the process and project management.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with relational database systems (preferably MySQL).
  • Experience with interactive dashboard software (preferably Tableau).
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet software tools (such as Excel and VBA).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to project manage and prioritize tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in a team environment and collaborating with stakeholders.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience leading a team of data analysts.
  • Experience providing customer support and administration for web applications.
  • Advanced database functions knowledge.
  • Knowledge or experience in the healthcare industry (preferably long-term conditions).
  • Knowledge or experience working closely with upper management and business processes.
