About the Role

This is a hybrid role that requires a strong leader to oversee the data analyst team at IQVIA. As a Lead Data Analyst, you will be responsible for supervising the team, managing their day-to-day work, and providing guidance and support as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the data analyst team, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to perform their duties.
  • Maintain and improve the team's understanding of data analysis and statistics, including tools such as MySQL, Tableau, Excel, and VBA.
  • Work with the IT Operations Manager to improve team processes and implement new technologies.
  • Develop and maintain key reporting streams used by both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with identifying and fixing issues or flaws in the reporting and IT systems.
  • Ensure all data and reporting capabilities adhere to strict information governance guidelines regarding confidentiality and data protection laws.
  • Encourage improved data quality by highlighting areas of concern and liaising with clinical and administrative teams.
  • Support the provision of training and support to managers and clinicians in the use of information systems and business intelligence tools.
  • Ensure projects are completed within given timelines, taking ownership of the process and management.

Requirements

  • Good experience with relational database systems (preferably MySQL).
  • Good experience with interactive dashboard software (preferably Tableau).
  • Good experience with spreadsheet software tools (such as Excel and VBA).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to project manage and prioritize.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Keen to work in a team and collaborate.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience leading a team of data analysts.
  • Experience providing customer support and administration for web applications.
  • Experience with advanced database functions.
  • Knowledge or experience of the healthcare industry (preferably long-term conditions).
  • Knowledge or experience of working closely with upper management and business processes.
