The Role

The Counter Terrorism Policing Network is seeking a highly skilled individual to fill the role of Compliance and Assurance Officer. This position is a critical part of ensuring the network's policies, processes, and procedures are compliant with the highest standards of security and information risk management.

As a Compliance and Assurance Officer, you will be responsible for facilitating independent inspections and reviews across the network to promote best practice and support continual improvement. You will work closely with stakeholders to provide advice on managing security and information risk, consistent with CTP and UK Government Information Assurance policy.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake IT-related protective monitoring, security, and audit
  • Assist with establishing and maintaining Information Assurance, security, and development of national and local IT capability
  • Create reports to support C&A functions/issues
  • Assist in the investigation of security incidents and of suspected IT-related system misconduct
  • Assist with the compilation and maintenance of accurate records regarding personnel, physical sites, and security incident status
  • Provide business-driven advice on the management of security and information risk consistent with CTP and HMG IA Policy
  • Provide independent impartial security assessments and reviews of proposed and live solutions, including both physical builds and systems designs
  • Influence and provide advice upon the design, build, and deployment of solutions
  • Manage ongoing accreditation between the service provider and business groups
  • Implement C&A initiatives across CT Policing
