Finance Business Partner Role

Cambridge University Press & Assessment is seeking a skilled Finance Business Partner to support our English Core group. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate closely with our Cambridge English Propositions and Operations units, focusing on overheads/cost performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop effective working relationships with business colleagues to ensure budgets are managed appropriately and financial cycle requirements are met.
  • Take responsibility for month-end duties, including journal preparation and report creation, as well as representation at month-end meetings with managers and directors to interpret and challenge financial performance.
  • Assist in drawing up budgets and forecasts that accurately reflect business plans, providing necessary support and communicating performance with managers and directors.
  • Produce insightful financial analysis to influence business decisions and support the development of costing and pricing models.

About You:

We are looking for an individual with a professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent) or equivalent experience, and demonstrable experience providing a business partnering service. You should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to manipulate complex financial data.
