Job Overview

SF Recruitment is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk Birmingham NEC to join our dynamic team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to take on a challenging purchase ledger position.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Configuring and maintaining supplier accounts within the supplier accounting system
  2. Processing and recording supplier and staff expenses accurately
  3. Coding and processing a high volume of purchase invoices (approximately 400 per week)
  4. Coordinating and ensuring timely approval and processing of purchase invoices
  5. Regular scanning and processing of purchase invoices
  6. Efficiently processing staff expenses after obtaining necessary approvals
  7. Matching purchase invoices to purchase orders
  8. Executing weekly and monthly supplier BACS payments
  9. Manually handling sundry cheque payments
  10. Effectively managing Euro and other foreign currency supplier payments
  11. Organizing intergroup payments
  12. Posting Direct Debits payments
  13. Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements for the top 20 suppliers
  14. Communicating effectively with suppliers through phone calls and monitoring the AP email inbox
