Composites Manufacturing Engineer Job Description

MCS Group is seeking a highly skilled Composites Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Ballymena. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the business to increase its capability and understanding of composite technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development of engineering solutions and embed strong production processes to meet the future needs of the organisation.
  • Deliver improvements to composite material selection and process development, NPI, approvals, continuous improvement, and problem-solving techniques on a production line.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive manufacturing efficiency and productivity.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of composite materials and components.
Requirements:
  • HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline or at least 5 years relevant experience.
  • Previous experience of composite manufacturing gained in a fast-paced engineering/manufacturing environment.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel, 3D modeling experience, and understanding of engineering drawings, tooling, and ERP & MBOM and routing generation.
