Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Palliative Care team at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Psychologist in this role, you will be responsible for providing specialist psychological assessments, interventions, and support to patients and their families in a palliative care setting.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify patients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide evidence-based psychological interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to promote a culture of compassion and empathy.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of palliative care services, including education and training programs for healthcare staff.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or a related field.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience working in a palliative care setting or a similar environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
