Vertiv is seeking a skilled Night Shift Electrical and Mechanical Fitter to join our dynamic team in Derry, Northern Ireland.

Role OverviewAs an Electrical and Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling electrical switchgear and associated electromechanical equipment/systems to engineering drawings and production timescales. You will ensure quality standards are maintained for the products both in the factory and at customers' premises.

- Ensure quality standards are maintained for the products both in the factory and at customers' premises.
- Work from drawings, manuals, schematics, etc.
- Proven experience working on assembly of mechanical equipment and electromechanical systems.
- Contribute to fitting, building, or construction of various parts to ensure a smooth process of component amalgamation.
- Good electro/mechanical skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision.
- Sound knowledge of engineering tools and equipment, including torquing.
- Maturity and engineering practicality.
- Adherence to Company policies and procedures.
- Ability to mentor and develop team members.
- Proven experience as an assembler of switchgear or in an equivalent engineering environment.
- Technical knowledge to read and work from drawings, manuals, blueprints, schematics, etc.
- Willingness to flexible working, including site working/rotations.
- Ability to complete assemblies and complete associated manufacturing paperwork.
- Self-quality check.
- Proven track record using punches, saws, benders, hand tools, etc.
- C&G Mechanical Qualification & an Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent.
- Electrical knowledge as well as Mechanical would be advantageous.
- Experience of Electrical switchgear manufacture or similar.
- Experience of on-field service work/on-site installations.
- Familiar with Risk Assessments and Method statements.
- Regular overtime at enhanced rates with bonus hours scheme.
