Electrical and Mechanical Fitter Job Description

Vertiv is seeking a skilled Electrical and Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Derry, Northern Ireland. As an Electrical and Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling and testing electrical and mechanical equipment, ensuring high-quality products that meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and test electrical and mechanical equipment according to engineering drawings and production timescales.
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained for products both in the factory and at customer premises.
  • Work from drawings, manuals, schematics, and other technical documents to complete assemblies and associated manufacturing paperwork.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and managers to assemble prototype and development units.
  • Meet deadlines and adhere to Quality and H&S principles.

Requirements:

  • C&G Mechanical Qualification and an Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent.
  • Electrical knowledge as well as Mechanical would be advantageous.
  • Experience of Electrical switchgear manufacture or similar.
  • Experience of on-field service work/on-site installations.
  • Familiar with Risk Assessments and Method statements.
