About this role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Quality and Test Engineer to join our services engineering team in Nottingham, UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading system-level quality engineering and delivery, ensuring high-quality solutions that improve customer outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead system-level quality engineering and delivery in a cross-functional services engineering team.
  • Develop and implement test strategies, identifying functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Coach and mentor engineers on best practices in delivering quality outcomes.
  • Elevate quality within the Capital One Services, working across multiple engineering teams.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in modern testing techniques and a passion for quality.
  • Strategic thinking, with the ability to balance business needs with technical risk.
  • Confidence with Java, with experience in writing automated tests.
  • A desire to have a proactive positive impact on the engineering community and system.
