About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect to join our Defence team. As a key member of our organisation, you will be responsible for designing and implementing software enabled solutions that meet the critical needs of our clients in the Defence sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architecture Definition & Analysis: Define and assess effective technology solutions to meet user needs, taking into account the deployed and tactical military domains.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Management: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand customer requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs.
  • Solution Assessment and Validation: Validate solutions to ensure they meet customer requirements and are deployable in customer environments.
  • Requirements Elicitation and Analysis: Elicit and analyse customer requirements to develop solutions that meet their needs.
  • User Engagement and Behavioural Modelling: Engage with users to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.
  • Trade Studies: Conduct trade studies to identify the best solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Design and Delivery Assurance: Ensure that solutions are designed and delivered to meet customer requirements.
Requirements
  • Understanding of the Deployed and Tactical Military Domains: Have a deep understanding of the deployed and tactical military domains, including ISTAR, Communications and Information Systems (CIS) and Cyber.
  • Relevant Technology Domains: Have a strong understanding of relevant technology domains, including software applications, application hosting infrastructure, middleware, AI/ML, networks, data, security, system management and communications.
  • Architectural Methods: Be able to apply architectural methods to define and assess effective technology solutions.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Have strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to create influence and build constructive relationships with clients.
  • Communication Skills: Have strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to summarise, write and deliver concise technical information.
  • Proven Track Record: Have a proven track record in software solution development, ensuring consistency with specified requirements agreed with both external and internal customers.
  • Engineering Management Plans: Be able to define robust engineering management plans and lead teams to follow them.
  • Agile Delivery Methodologies: Be familiar with Agile delivery methodologies such as SAFE v6.0, Scrum and Kanban.
