About the Opportunity

Coventry City Council is seeking a skilled Community Development Officer - Sport and Wellbeing to join our Culture, Sport and Events Team. In this exciting role, you will contribute to the development and implementation of sport, physical activity initiatives, strategies, and action plans that enhance the quality of life for Coventry residents.

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our stakeholders to build effective partnerships and support the growth of sport and physical activity opportunities across the city. Your expertise will help us promote equity in sport and physical activity, increasing participation and promoting accessibility.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing community engagement strategies
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to build partnerships and grow sport and physical activity opportunities
  • Providing support for the development and delivery of projects and programmes in the Sport, Culture & Events Service
  • Working closely with the Head of Sport, Physical Activity, and Wellbeing to achieve strategic objectives

Salary: £28,500 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
