School Sports Development Officer

U-Educate is seeking an experienced School Sports Development Officer to join our team in the Coventry area.

Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with experience of working in a school setting to implement and develop our school sport programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting physical fitness and healthy lifestyles among children aged 6-18, while ensuring their safety during sports activities.

  • Implementing the school sport programme effectively, including planning and marking lessons.
  • Promoting physical fitness and healthy lifestyles through engaging and interactive coaching sessions.
  • Taught students about safety in various sports environments, such as swimming pools, athletics fields, and gymnasiums.
  • Involving all pupils in the coaching process, fostering a sense of inclusion and teamwork.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong interest in multiple sports and excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to inspire confidence and motivate performance among students.
  • An analytical mindset, enabling them to identify areas for improvement and address problems effectively.
  • Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to plan and manage coaching sessions.
  • A sensitive and supportive approach to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • First aid skills and experience working with children.
  • Strong teamworking abilities, able to collaborate with colleagues and other stakeholders.

What We Offer:

This role provides a great opportunity for the right candidate to make a positive impact on the lives of young people in the Coventry area. The salary for this position is estimated to be around £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
