We are seeking a highly motivated Director of Environmental Strategy to join our team at ENGINEERINGUK. As a key member of our corporate sustainability team, you will play a crucial role in driving our company's commitment to environmental responsibility.

About the Team

Our corporate sustainability team is a dynamic and collaborative group of professionals who share a passion for creating a more sustainable future. We are committed to reducing our environmental footprint and promoting sustainable practices throughout our business.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the corporate real estate sector, preferably with financial institutions. They will have a proven track record of developing and operationalizing strategic sustainability measures to enhance reputation and stakeholder relationships.

A strong understanding of sustainable building design principles, including embodied and operational carbon reduction, energy efficiency, and net-zero carbon strategies, is essential. The successful candidate will also have excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical topics into layman's terms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sustainable practices across all aspects of our business.
  • Lead our efforts to reduce waste, water consumption, and energy usage.
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure that our operations meet the highest environmental standards.
  • Develop and maintain CRM plans for responsible business.
  • Share relevant industry insights with clients and colleagues.
Requirements

We are looking for a talented individual with a strong background in corporate sustainability. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Extensive experience in the corporate real estate sector.
  • Proven leadership in implementing environmental policies, parameters, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of sustainable building design principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for sustainability and a proven ability to champion and encourage behavioural change within organizations.
