About the Role
Achieving for Children is seeking a skilled Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities Team. As a Social Worker, you will work with children and young people who have significant and profound disabilities, providing specialist support and guidance to help them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess the needs of children and young people with disabilities, identifying areas where specialist support is required.
- Develop and implement care plans to ensure the needs of children and young people are met, working closely with families, schools, and other agencies.
- Provide direct support to children and young people, using a range of methods to communicate and engage with them.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals, including health and education teams, to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting children and young people.
- Contribute to the development of the Children with Disabilities Team, sharing knowledge and expertise to improve services and outcomes for children and young people.
About You
We are looking for a Social Worker who is passionate about working with children and young people with disabilities. You will have a Social Work qualification and experience of working with children and young people with complex needs. You will be able to work independently and as part of a team, using your skills and expertise to make a positive difference to the lives of children and young people.
