We are seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our team at Oakhaven Hospice, providing high-quality care to patients with life-limiting illnesses.
Main Responsibilities- Deliver physiotherapy services to patients on our In-Patient Unit, Day Hospice, and in the Community.
- Jointly supervise our Therapy Assistant.
- 3 years post-qualification experience of acute, chronic, complex conditions including respiratory care, neurology, and pain management.
- Community experience.
- Recent experience within a comparable role.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and as an effective team member.
- Good organisational/time management skills and ability to coordinate workload.
- Demonstrate high standard of rehabilitation/clinical skills.
- Ability to adapt skills and techniques in response to specific patient needs.
- Basic IT skills.
- Presentation/teaching skills.
- Moving and handling qualification.
- Confident practitioner, ability to justify decisions with flexibility to change.
- Commitment to the highest possible standards of patient care.
- Ability to manage challenging and complex situations.
- The ability to demonstrate some understanding and commitment to the principles of specialist palliative care, multi-disciplinary team working, and the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of the patient group.
- Qualification in Physiotherapy at degree or diploma level.
- Registered with Health and Care Professions Council.
- Evidence of post-qualification professional development.
- Membership ACPOPC.
